Meet the Owner: Miss Emily
Welcome to Little Seeds Learning Center, LLC! My name is Emily and I opened my Family Child Care in 2022. I grew up in a little city called Ham Lake, MN and moved up to Duluth when I started my undergraduate career. I studied Psychology and Early Childhood Studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree! Since then, I have worked with young children in multiple settings. I was a gymnastics teacher for toddlers and preschoolers, I worked with after school children in the KeyZone program, I have been an Infant teacher, as well as a Director at a DayCare Center. I have always had a passion for early education as well as the importance of nature in our lives.
In my free time, you can find me on the water or on a trail with my husband and pups! I love to fish all Spring and Summer long. We have a small little cabin where we spend time during the summer months. I love to hike, camp, fish, and garden. I also LOVE house plants. When we bought our first house, I was most excited about having my first ever garden! My logo for Little Seeds Learning Center stems from my love for plants and the fascination of taking a little seed, providing it with the things it needs, and watching it blossom. It is a great metaphor for Early Education and my approach to young children. I hope you look at me as a friend and caregiver to your child!
